University of Toledo Committed to Using Biomass Fuels and Renewable Energy Sources for Power Needs
The University of Toledo has become a member of a highly innovative partnership that will help them provide renewable energy to their campus for years to come. The University is committed to using biomass fuels and renewable energy sources for all its power needs in the future. They have a wind farm and a large solar power array that provides a substantial amount of power and their new indoor sports complex is heated and cooled entirely by a geothermal system.
The innovations do not stop there - the school has signed a power purchasing agreement with a company that has built and that maintains the solar power array. Eventually the University will take over this system but in the meantime the current owner can take advantage of the tax incentives that building this array provides. This plan means it can buy affordable energy now and in the meantime look forward to owning a renewable energy source in the future. This type of partnership also offers plants right on campus that can be used for internships for students wanting to prepare for energy based jobs in the future.

A heating performance check can find ways to improve your heater and make it more efficient. There is also currently a program available through Raymond Plumbing that will get you a free air conditioning system with the purchase a new Carrier Infinity Gas furnace. The system must be installed by our Lorain County HVAC contractors by February 29 so now is the time to act if you want to begin lowering your utility bills for the foreseeable future.
